The pure product is white odorless crystal.Technical grade Bentazone is a yellow-white crystalline powder without a noticeable odor.The melting point is about 138?, it decomposes at 200?. When at 20?, its vapor pressure is 0.01***, water solubility is 0.057?,acetone solubility is 150.7?,alcohol solubility is 86.1?, benzene solubility is 3.3?,cyclohexane solubility is 0.02%.
It is a low-toxic herbicide, the rat acute oral LD50 values are about 1710mg/kg, rat acute dermal LD50>4000mg/kg.
